ESG Verification

ESG verification is a process in which an independent third-party body reviews the accuracy and reliability of a company’s environmental, social and governance disclosures.
Independent verification helps prevent greenwashing while strengthening corporate credibility and investment value.

3. Verification Standards and Methods

• Commonly Used International Standards:

GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISO standards including ISO 14064 for greenhouse gas verification, and the K-ESG Guidelines.

• Assurance Level:

Limited Assurance

A basic level of verification that checks whether material errors are present.

Reasonable Assurance

A deeper level of verification that provides a higher degree of confidence, similar in approach to financial auditing.
