Household Goods Inspection

Household goods are closely connected to daily life, and inspection requirements are divided by product category under applicable safety standards, including KC certification. KAFTI provides key inspection items designed to help protect consumer health, covering products from detergents to furniture.

1. Household Chemical and Hygiene Product Inspection

  • Hazardous substance testing: Detailed analysis of formaldehyde, methanol and humidifier disinfectant substances, including CMIT and MIT.
  • Container safety: Testing for breakage from external impact and leakage of contents.
  • Child-resistant packaging: Checks whether safety caps, including push-and-turn caps, operate properly.

[Hygiene Products - Tissue, Diapers and Related Items]

  • Chemical substance checks: Inspection for fluorescent whitening agents, formaldehyde and other substances that may cause allergic reactions.
  • Absorption performance: Measurement of absorption speed and anti-backflow performance for diapers and sanitary products.
  • Microbial testing: Inspection for microbial contamination, including bacteria and mold.

2. Furniture and Wood Product Inspection

  • Formaldehyde emission: Assessment of eco-friendly grades, including E0 and E1, for processed wood such as MDF and particle board.
  • Structural stability: Tip-over testing for drawers and stability calculations under load.
  • Surface strength: Checks for coating peeling, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance.

3. Other Household Goods and Exterior Finishing

  • Umbrellas and parasols: Wind resistance testing for frame durability, fabric water repellency and UV protection rate.
  • Plastic containers: Checks for deformation under high temperature and heavy metal migration.
  • Precision finishing inspection: Full checks of operating condition and the presence of sharp edges.

4. On-site Final Inspection Practice Points

These are common items that inspectors must check immediately before shipment.

  • Labeling: Checks whether ingredient labels, precautions for use, manufacturing date, KC mark and other legal requirements are properly applied.
  • Packaging condition: Inspection of cushioning materials and box taping to prevent product damage.
  • Quantity and components: Final confirmation that set products do not have missing components.
